The company was founded in July 2000 as <Avicore Biotechnology Research Center> and merged with <Medipig Korea> and <Optipharm Solution Center> in December 2007, after which it was renamed as <Optipharm Solution>. In April 2008, it entered the veterinary medicine field by taking over <Farmscare> and became listed on the KOSDAQ in October 2018 after the company’s name was changed to its current name of Optipharm in September 2012.

Currently, it is involved in the business of animal disease diagnosis, animal medicine, bacteriophage, Medipig, xenogenic organs, VLP vaccines, etc., and based on the technology that it accumulated in the area of animal medicine(Biz), it is expanding into the field of human medicine(healthcare).

Along with the 10,000 disease diagnosis services we provide annually, our industry-leading animal disease diagnosis, veterinary drug, bacteriophages for feed additives, and laboratory animal Medipig businesses have been providing the company with a stable source of profits.

Based on this, we have been involved in the development of transgenic animals for xenogenic organs in which pig organs are applied to humans, and the development of medicines for human use such as VLP vaccines and pneumonia treatment drugs that counteract against superbacteria.
